Where does Heavenly Father live?
When Christopher was very young, maybe three or four, he asked me where Heavenly Father lives. I told him I didn't know exactly but that it is near a place called Kolob. Then he asked if I knew why He had to live so far away and I said not really. His reply: "Because if He was closer we would burn up."
The scriptures tell us that humans cannot bear the presence of God without being transfigured. The wicked will burn at Christ's coming.
I do not know for sure where Christopher got this idea. I've wondered if perhaps there are times when young children have moments when they remember something from before their birth. (see: Heather's Question)
